Brno, Czech Republic (Erasmus)

In January 2017, I had the opportunity to study at Brno University of Technology in the faculty of architecture. Whilst at the university I studied a number of subjects, which provided me a valuable insight in to the architecture of Eastern Europe.

Unlike at Brighton University the subjects studied were much more orientated around architecture in the real world. The design project itself was based on a topic of Brownfield site regeneration.

The site used is a genuine site which is intended to be transformed in the future into high density town houses, with commercial outlets at street level.

Working within the parameters of another countries codes, and recognising the differences between design in the UK and the Czech republic was a challenge, however one which was incredibly rewarding.
